Wooden
Blinds
Wooden
blinds are among the most desired exotic blinds. They can come
in different designs such as matchstick, Venetian, vertical,
and roller blinds. Most of the preferred matchstick types are
made of bamboo because they are easier to form into sticks. For
the Venetian and vertical types, various varieties of timber
are used. Due to the popularity of wooden blinds, there are
also some faux wooden blinds in the market that closely mimic
the real ones.
Venetian
wooden blinds are generally expensive especially if real wood
is used for the slats. Although a wide range of woods are used,
here are some of them: Golden oak, pine, chestnut, Canadian
maple, and walnut. Practically any of these woods can give a
stylish theme to your room. These blinds are usually chosen to
complement wooden furnishings hence usually come in their
natural color. That is to say, you would rarely find them
painted with brilliant colors or designs.
Slats
for wooden blinds can either be narrow or wide. Those with
slats wider than 2" allow for greater outward visibility. The
narrow ones, on the other hand, fit well with French doors and
small windows. Whatever the case may be, the effect is almost
the same: naturally classy.
