Exotic
Blinds
Exotic
blinds are blinds that depart from the usual minimalist designs
conveyed in those found in most establishments. Putting
aesthetics over utilitarian purposes, exotic blinds are
typically made up of intricately designed non-synthetic
materials.
Some of
the classical exotic blinds are woven blinds, bamboo,
honeycomb, fabric, matchstick, and wooden blinds. Many of them
are hand-crafted, thus you can expect uniqueness as a
prevailing quality. This is one of the reasons why many people
would like to own one; if not for their offices, then for their
homes.
Since
most of them are made of natural materials, exotic blinds are
gaining immense popularity as people are becoming more
concerned with the environment. Most of the materials are
easily biodegradable so you know that they’ll go easy on the
environment once you dispose of them.
While
exotic blinds generally look more elegant than its vinyl
counterparts, one problem that might hound you are their
susceptibility to mould and mildew. Once the humidity in the
air is excessively high, the surfaces of these blinds can
easily be infested. This is largely due to the crevices found
on their surfaces. Therefore, it is important to ask the
manufacturer first whether the blinds have been pre-treated
with sealants and fungicide. That way, you can at least
minimize its vulnerability.
